Céad míle fáilte from the Regina Highland Games
(Scottish Gaelic - A Hundred Thousand Welcomes)
The Regina Highland Games has been in operation each year since 1995. We promote all things Scottish and provide an excellent opportunity for members of the local and neighbouring Scottish communities to get involved and showcase their talents and promote their wares. Pipers, drummers, dancers, heavy events athletes, and enthusiasts from all over the prairies come to Regina each year on the May long weekend to participate in this exciting event.
In true Scottish hospitality, the Games provides a friendly environment for members of the public to come and watch the various events taking place including the piping and drumming, highland dancing, heavy events, medieval battle, and the very popular evening ceilidh party. After watching your favourite event, take a stroll through our vendors market and pick-up something uniquely Scottish like a clan badge, sporran, sgian dubh (skeen doo - sock dagger) or even a kilt! Food and refreshments are available all day long.
Bring the whole family, even your crowd-friendly pet. On a sunny day, nothing beats relaxing in a lawn chair or lying on a blanket, listening to the sounds of Scotland right here in Regina.
Aaccch! An' donnae fergit yer troosers!!
